Birgitte Martens (CEMESO)
Birgitte Martens graduated in Early Modern History from the Free University of Brussels (2003) with a thesis researching shifts in the use of vernacular religious books in the 16th and 17th century school system in Antwerp. Comparing the 17th century religious media systems of both the Northern and Southern Netherlands and setting out the variety of intentions that shape these systems is the aim of her current researching activity.

FLEET (Flemish e-publishing trends) is een interdisciplinair project, dat wordt gefinancierd door het IWT in het kader van het programma ter ondersteuning van Strategisch Basisonderzoek (SBO). Het onderzoeksconsortium bestaat uit junior en senior onderzoekers uit de sociaal-wetenschappelijke, juridische en economische departementen van de VUB, KULeuven, UGent en het Nederlandse onderzoeksbureau Infonomics/ECDC.
