Karin Raeymaeckers is professor at the Department of Communication Studies at Ghent University. Her research and teaching interests are media structures, media economy, news analysis, journalism and political communication. She is member of the Euromedia Research Group. Currently, she is involved in national and international research projects on newspaper readership and young readers, the European public sphere and a longitudinal framing analysis of international conflicts and journalism. She is a member of the Academic Steering Committee of the FLEET-consortium. She brings in her expertise as a lecturer in the Master Programme in Journalism at Ghent University for the development of an ‘e-journalism’ course and the organisation of workshops on Computer Assisted Reporting (CAR).

Karin Raeymaeckers is directeur van de onderzoeksgroep Center for Journalism Studies. Zij doceert binnen de vakgroep communicatiewetenschappen van de UGent over mediastructuren, journalistiek en politieke communicatie. Zij is lid van verschillende internationale onderzoeksgroepen, waaronder de Euromedia Research Group.
